Registrations for the 2026/27 Nippers season are now open at North Entrance SLSC , a small, family‑focused club where every child is encouraged to give it a go, have fun, make friends, and learn valuable surf lifesaving skills and beach/surf safety.

If your child is new to surf club or Nippers, you’re welcome to come along to one of our free ‘Come & Try’ Days:

🔴🟡 RAISING OF THE FLAGS 2026/27 🔴🟡

Our flags are flying again for the 2026/27 season, marking the start of another year of service on our beach.

Today our rookies Greyson, Arya, Michael & Sophia, travelled to Toowoon Bay to represent North Entrance at the Surf Life Saving Central Coast Raising of the Flags event, with some proudly wearing their patrol uniforms for the very first time as they begin their journey as lifesavers

It was fantastic to see so many young rookies from across the Central Coast proudly representing their clubs and surf lifesaving

☀️Join the Fun – Become a Nipper Safety Assistant! ☀️

🌊Help our Nippers stay safe, confident and smiling in the surf, especially our U6–U8s, who spend their mornings in shallow‑water activities and need plenty of gentle support.

The Nipper Safety Assistant (NSA) Award is perfect for parents and helpers who want to be part of the action but don’t yet hold a Surf Rescue Certificate or Bronze Medallion. It’s a simple, hands‑on way to assist water safety during our youngest age groups’ beach sessions.

Why jump in?

• Quick & easy — completed in one morning at Nippers or on sign‑on day
• No online theory — fully face‑to‑face and beginner‑friendly
• Support our youngest Nippers — help U6–U8s feel safe and confident in shallow water
• Support the club — more helpers = safer, smoother Nippers mornings

🏊🏻‍♂️Nipper Proficiency Swim Assessment —
📅 This Sunday - 27th September
⏰ 9:30am
📍 The Entrance Ocean Baths

We’re running our Nipper swim assessment this Sunday to help us understand what level of support your child may need in the water. The water is cold, so please have them wear a wetsuit if they have one and bring goggles.

If your child attends regular swimming lessons, you can have their coach complete the assessment form instead.
Email the signed form to [email protected] and you won’t need to attend Sunday.

If you can’t make it, Josh will run a second assessment day in the school holidays (details TBC).

We’ll also assess U6–U8 parents interested in becoming Water Safety Assistants for the season. More info to come.

📢 ATTENTION NORTH ENTRANCE NIPPERS PARENTS & GUARDIANS!

🌊Are you getting ready to register your kids for the upcoming season at North Entrance SLSC? Don’t forget the "One Parent, One Child" rule!

Across all Surf Life Saving clubs, at least one parent or guardian must register as a member alongside their child

Here is why this is standard practice and strictly enforced:
•Insurance Coverage: Nippers is not a drop-off program. Because you are on the beach helping out, you must be a registered member to be covered by SLS insurance
•Child Safety: A parent or guardian must remain at the beach for the entire session. Registration ensures everyone complies with member safety standards
•Volunteer Power: Our club runs 100% on volunteer energy! Parent membership gets everyone involved in keeping the beach safe and fun

The new season is nearly here, and we’re kicking off with two important days for all families.

🟡 Proficiency Swim Assessment

📍 The Entrance Ocean Baths
📅 Sunday 27th September – 9:30am
👦 U6s to U14s

We’ll also be assessing parents interested in becoming Water Safety Assistants. If you’d like to support our Nippers in the water this season, this is the day to step forward.
The water is still chilly so if you have a wetsuit- wear it! Please bring goggles

** If you're unable to attend the swim assessment and your child already does regular swim lessons, your accredited swim coach can complete the assessment for you.
