⚠️ CAUTION ⚠️ Counterfeit Money 💰 💶 There have been a large number of counterfeit money being passed in the area.

Reposted... You should also use specific methods based on whether it is a newer "Next Generation" note or an older style:

📌 1. New Series $50 Notes (Yellow)
Top-to-Bottom Window: The clear window spans the entire height of the note
Moving Images: Tilt the note to watch the bird's wings move and change color, and see the number change direction inside the building.
Rolling Color: Look for a prominent rolling color effect when you tilt the banknote

📌.2. Older Series $50 Notes (Yellow/Green)
Seven-pointed Star: Hold the note up to the light to see a distinct seven-pointed star inside a circle. The patterns on both sides should perfectly form a star when aligned.
Coat of Arms: Look for a faint image of the Australian Coat of Arms when holding the note to the light.

📌📌General Checks for All Notes

⚠️Feel: The note should feel like tough, smooth polymer plastic. It should not feel like paper, and the dark ink should feel slightly raised.

⚠️UV Light Check: Under a UV light, the background should remain dull, but the serial numbers and a special patch should glow brightly.

📌⚠️If you come across a suspected counterfeit, handle it as little as possible, store it in an envelope, and report it immediately to Australian Federal Police or your local police station.
