Krondorf Road Cafe

Krondorf Road Cafe Was open for ten happy years serving very special traditional Barossa recipes; thank you to our loyal customers! Kabminye wines has reopened ph 85630889

Ingrid loves to serve the food of her Barossa Deutsch ancestors in her restaurant in the cellar door of Kabminye Wines with sweeping views of vineyards and hills in historic Krondorf. The property was settled by to her one of her ancestors in 1847, and she likes to tell stories of the early days. Guests are welcome to try the Rick's vibrant wines or wander upstairs to view Ilona's award winning co

ntemporary art. The produce for the restaurant is sourced locally where possible, or grown on site. The building is designed by Rick to be ecologically sustainable, with low toxicity finishes and materials, and local provenance native grasses and trees featured in the approach to the building. Group bookings, children and people with food allergies are all welcome.

Do you have happy memories of sitting in the cafe in days gone by? Well I'm moving house and the chairs are for sale, so you can have your own piece of Krondorf Road Cafe, on the patio or in your house. They are ridiculously comfortable, stack like a dream, and quite beautiful. At $25.00 each, what's not to like? Feel free to pm me if you feel you can find a spot for some.

Yesterday was the last day we were open at 210 Krondorf road. A big thank you to all our loyal customers and staff. Most of those working yesterday have been with us at least 7 years. We do plan to reopen in a smaller way at the new premises at some stage in the future. Thank you all!

Today is our tenth birthday! A big thank you to everyone who has made it such a great journey. In just over a week we close and, after a break, reopen the cellar door just down the road. Food will happen a bit later. See you then!

So hot today our resident roos came up to drink and cool down under the verandah at lunch time instead of waiting until later in the day. You can see them in the background in this photograph.
