Shop Assistant & Cake Decorator (Casual Positions)
Tanunda Bakery is seeking dedicated Shop Assistants and Cake Decorators to join our friendly team in Tanunda, South Australia. This casual position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established, family-owned bakery in the heart of the Barossa Valley.
What you’ll be doing
Shop Assistant
* Provide friendly and professional customer service at all times.
* Prepare and serve a range of barista-style coffees and hot beverages.
* Operate the coffee machine and maintain cleanliness of the coffee station.
* Prepare fresh salad rolls, sandwiches and bakery products.
* Handle customer transactions using the POS system.
* Restock display cabinets and ensure shelves are well presented.
* Follow food safety and hygiene procedures.
* Assist with general cleaning duties.
* Work efficiently as part of a fast-paced team.
Cake Decorator
* Decorate cakes, cupcakes and bakery products to a high standard.
* Pipe, ice and finish cakes with creativity and attention to detail.
* Maintain excellent product presentation and quality.
* Follow food safety and hygiene procedures.
* Assist with cake preparation and other bakery duties as required.
What we’re looking for
* Friendly, positive and reliable people.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Barista experience is an advantage (training can be provided).
* Cake decorating experience is highly desirable.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Reliable, punctual and available for early mornings and weekend shifts.
* Previous bakery, café or food service experience is an advantage but not essential.
