In 1888, we were the first city in Australia to switch on electric street lighting. This September, we're lighting the way again 🌃

Two spectacular free nights, Friday 25 & Saturday 26 September, when Peel Street, Fitzroy Street and Bicentennial Park glow with light installations, art and after-dark magic from 5:30pm to 10:30pm.

Under the theme “Land and Light”, the City of Lights Festival celebrates Tamworth's pioneering, future-focused spirit, a city that innovates, leads and always looks ahead. Where history meets innovation, and the streets come alive again 💡
