Enjoy our amazing full plate dry rubbed whole rack of ribs, succulent maple chilli chicken wings, our Spring salads, rosemary real potatoes and decadent desserts. We also proudly pour local craft beers, made right here on Tamborine Mountain (Fortitude Brewery), with Fortitude Drifter Endless Summer Ale (Taste like Pacific Ale), Fortitude Ginger Beer (An amazing thirst quencher), Fortitude Interceptor Pale Ale (An aggressive American pale ale) and currently our special batch beer is Green Beacon WindJammer IPA (Rotated regularly… ask our staff). Cocktails and mixology are also our thang, so be sure to check our seasonal (& Hickory classic) drink mixes. See those barrels hanging on the wall… that’s right, they hold our house aged rum. Hickory Slow is looking for a casual Front of House All-Rounder to join our team!

🎓 Students are welcome to apply — no experience necessary if you’re willing to learn!

What you’ll be doing:
• Taking customer orders
• Running food to tables
• Clearing & resetting tables
• Washing dishes
• Helping with general restaurant duties

We’re looking for someone who is:
✓ Reliable & responsible
✓ Quick on their feet
✓ Friendly and willing to learn
✓ Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
✓ Previous hospitality experience is a bonus, but not essential

📅 Availability:
You’ll have one regular shift every weekend (Saturday or Sunday).

During busy weekends, you may be needed for Saturday evening and Sunday morning.

We’re opening a limited number of tables for Sunday, 6 September, with four seating times:

🥩 Lunch — 11:30am & 1:00pm
🔥 Dinner — 5:00pm & 6:30pm

Tables are limited and we expect them to fill quickly, so early bookings are highly recommended.

A LITTLE NOTE FROM THE HICKORY SLOW TEAM 🤎

We believe respect goes both ways, and this post is not directed at anyone in particular. Most of our customers are wonderful and respectful, and we truly appreciate you.

However, we occasionally have customers who eat most or all of their meal, tell our staff everything is fine when asked — sometimes more than once — and then complain only when it’s time to pay, asking for a refund or refusing to pay.

If there is a genuine problem with your meal, please tell us straight away. We will always do our best to fix it or replace it while we still have the opportunity to do so.

Our prices are clearly displayed on the menu, and if you’re unsure about portion sizes, please ask before ordering. We’re always happy to explain. Ordering, eating the food, and then complaining afterwards that it was too expensive or not enough is not a fair reason to refuse payment.

Taste is subjective. Simply not liking a dish does not mean there is something wrong with it or that you shouldn’t have to pay for it.

Behind every plate is a chef who has spent hours preparing, smoking and cooking your food with care. Please give our team the respect and opportunity to make things right at the time.

If something is wrong, tell us while we can fix it — not after the plate is empty.
