The Runaway Spoon provides a unique venue specialising in superior coffee and up-market cafe food. We bring an inner city vibe to suburbia offering innovative seasonal menu changes together with old fashioned menu favourites. From 7am, 7 days a week , our doors open to provide a convivial location to catch up with friends and family or meet with work colleagues.

To our cherished patrons of The Runaway Spoon,

It's with mixed emotions that we share the news to you all that after nearly 20 fantastic years, Scott has decided to move on and The Runaway Spoon is changing ownership. To each of you who has made this place special, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

To all of our staff both current & past, we can’t thank you enough for all that you have contributed to both Tablespoon & The Runaway Spoon.

As we say goodbye after nearly two decades of shared laughter, conversations, and delectable moments, Scott and Cassie extend their heartfelt gratitude for being an integral part of this remarkable journey.

As new owners take the reins, we reflect on the countless memories and genuine connections that have defined this space. As we embark on a new journey, we hope that The Runaway Spoon continues to be a place of joy and community for all.

We are searching for a Kitchen hand available 4-5 days a week.
Your responsibilities will include washing dishes, pan etc, general kitchen cleaning and some light food prepping
