Our masala limeade.
Not part of our original drinks menu, but we had our lovely regular Shefali request it. She enjoyed it so much that it became a main stay. Essentially a zesty limeade just with an unmistakable bhaja moshla salt edge.

Bhaja Moshla Barramundi “Hot Wings”

Barramundi collars, marinated, fried, then dusted in bhaja moshla. Crisp skin, soft meat, proper spice.

Our Bengali take on hot wings, built around the best part of the fish.

Our masala limeade is a bit more fun than your usual lime cocktail. Starts sweet and sour, then the masala salt comes in with a little heat and pulls it all together.

Might be your new favourite. Come give it a try.

Kolkata Social is a love letter to Bengali cuisine, shaped by memory, migration and everything in between.

Led by Chef Ahana Dutt, the menu draws from the food she grew up with, heirloom recipes, time-honoured techniques, and flavours built slowly from the ground up. Mustard oil, spice, smoke, sweetness, all balanced in a way that feels both familiar and new.

Grounded in heritage, shaped by Sydney, and always evolving.

We make achar with chalta (elephant apple) back home. It’s chewy, fibrous and should be inedible, but has the most indescribable sweet, sour, aniseedy flavour.
This dish captures that same spirit but made with a fruit that has an equally unique taste, quince. Not quite an apple or a pear with a super floral scent.
Nostalgia, reimagined.

infused with toasted cinnamon, cardamom and cloves, vermouth and Campari.
A simple twist on an Italian favourite.
