The Lakeside Restaurant and Function Centre
The restaurant was established just after the 2000 Sydney Olympics. In 2007 (October) the restaurant and function facilities were taken over by Vince Capolupo, whom had previously co owned the Trevi Restaurants at Leichhardt, Norwest Business Park and Penrith. The facilities prior to been taken over by Vince Capolupo had very limited usage and were not
opened as a restaurant for the last 3 to 4 years. Mr Capolupo had the vision to see the potential and the restaurant was opened with the view to servicing Penrith and providing an establishment where great food and great wines may be enjoyed in unique surroundings. The Lakeside is now established as a unique located restaurant. We provide first class dining accompanied by some very special wines. The Lakeside restaurant also provides the perfect location for that special function whether it be a wedding, engagement or any other special occasion. One other area where the Lakeside is becoming very popular is in providing the facilities for corporate breakfast meetings or corporate presentations. Our Past Successes:
In the very short time that we have been operating, The Lakeside has been nominated just recently in the 2009 Restaurant & Catering NSW/ACT Blue Mountains and Central West Awards for Excellence. The Awards for excellence is a highly coveted programme that recognises the exceptional dining experience that restaurants offer. Our Future Directions:
The only expansion that the Lakeside is contemplating is extending the physical size of the area to accommodate the demand for larger functions. Also, we go to offer “special” days such as Jazz Sundays, Blues Nights, Symphony Concert Lunches, Degustation Specials and other unique offerings. Our Uniqueness :
The location of the Lakeside nestled in a pocket of lakes with the Blue Mountains as backdrop makes you feel that you a miles away from the world. The fact that the Lakeside offers so many alternatives such as restaurant, functions, corporate facilities and the different events such as the Moet Hennessy Degustation Dinner, The Henschke Degustation Dinner takes the Lakeside to a class of its own. These events are important not only to establish The Lakeside but also for Penrith where the general public are able to experience the ultimate in dining.
