Letra House is an underground late-night wine bar and restaurant, hidden beneath Palazzo Salato in Sydney’s CBD. The wine list is ever changing with over 50 bottles - all available by the glass - with a succinct selection of cocktails and vermouth. A Spanish-leaning menu of snacks, small plates and sharers is a reflection of the team’s time spent cooking and travelling around Spain. Fast-paced and

dynamic, you might expect to see tapas like raw Red Carid prawn tostadas and Manchego custard-filled donuts with anchovies. Head Chef Brandon Jones’ socarrat with pippies and firefly squid is not to be missed. Open until 1am, there’s a late-night snack menu of tins and things, too.

Letra House is excited to host the first official tasting event in Australia for the newly released Aged 17 Year whisky.

Known for its multi-cask maturation, The Dalmore has been forging long lasting relationships with the world’s finest bodegas to hand select their finest casks and create layered, whiskies with distinct characteristics.

On the night, Josh Davies will expertly guide you through a trio of The Dalmore whiskies, paired with a Gonzalez Byass sherry, to highlight the nuances the casks bring to each single malt.

As a nod to the birthplace of sherry, Letra House has crafted an Andalusian set menu, served on long, convivial tables throughout the evening. Think potato galette with smoked eel brandade and pickled onion; pippies, jamón and arrocilla beans in a sherry beurre blanc; beef cheeks, braised in oloroso and served with papas fritas; and burnt honey and whisky torta with sherry custard, to name a few.

Tickets are $160 per person, inclusive of drinks.
