This is our winter menu ❄️
And like everything we do at Veranda, it tells a story.

At Veranda Indian, we don’t believe Indian food can be summed up by a few curries and naan. The food we grew up eating was regional, seasonal and deeply personal — changing with the weather, festivals, family traditions and where you were in the country.

That’s the idea behind our menus.

Every few months, we change the menu to showcase dishes from different parts of India — many of which are rarely seen outside Indian homes. We do things slowly and mostly in-house: grinding spices, making chutneys, pickles, breads and drinks fresh because that’s how we remember food tasting growing up.

Our winter menu launched on Mother’s Day and will be around until 5 September.

Expect comforting flavours, warming dishes, seasonal specials and little stories from across India woven throughout the menu. You’ll also notice that our menu is designed to be inclusive, so whether you’re vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free or have other dietary needs, everyone at the table can eat together.

If you’re new here, this carousel is a little glimpse into what Veranda Indian is all about.

Regional Indian food.
Home-style cooking.
Food meant to be shared slowly.

We can’t wait to welcome you to our Veranda 🧡

This menu is our way of saying thank you.

To the women who fed us before they fed themselves.
Who remembered what we liked without asking.
Who made food feel like comfort, no matter what the day looked like.

This Mother’s Day, we’re serving a 7-course degustation experience inspired by the homes we grew up in — regional, seasonal and deeply personal.

A slow, thoughtful meal.
The kind that’s meant to be shared.

If you’d like to join us, comment “MUM” below and we’ll send you all the details.

We can't wait to welcome you to our Veranda 🧡

Long weekends are made for good food and time with the people who matter. This Easter, our team is taking a little pause to do exactly that.

We’ll be closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday so everyone can enjoy a slow morning, a shared meal, or a well-earned break with their loved ones.

It’s business as usual on Saturday and Monday, and we’d love to welcome you in if you’re planning a catch-up over the long weekend.

Wishing you a restful, joyful Easter from all of us at Veranda Indian.

There aren’t many dishes in the world that have survived empires, rebellions and 2,000 years of change… but this one has.

Litti Chokha isn’t just food — it’s a record of how people lived, worked and travelled across eastern India.
From the fields of ancient Magadh to the soldiers of 1857, and still the comfort food of Bihar and Jharkhand today… it has carried resilience through every era.

This season at Veranda Indian, we’re celebrating its story — the flavours, the fire, the history — all the way here in Rouse Hill.

If you’d like to explore more regional Indian dishes like this, our profile is a great place to start.
And if Litti Chokha is a dish you grew up with, share this post with someone who understands the nostalgia.

Weekends at Veranda are about to get a little slower.

Starting 28 March, we’re introducing Weekend Brunch, served every Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 2pm.

Alongside our regular menu, we’ll be serving a small selection of brunch specials inspired by the kind of dishes many of us grew up eating on relaxed mornings at home.

Think warm paranthas with dahi and achaar, chole kulche, a paneer wrap, or our chapli burger with house chutney.

Comforting food.
Unhurried mornings.
A good reason to stretch your weekend just a little longer.

We can’t wait to welcome you to our Veranda.

This is our autumn menu 🍂
And it’s not built around “crowd favourites” or the usual curry lineup.

At Veranda Indian, we cook the way food is cooked in Indian homes — regional, seasonal and deeply personal.
Every few months, we change our menu to reflect the season and to make space for dishes from different parts of the country, many of which rarely find their way onto restaurant menus.

This autumn menu was released on Valentine’s Day and will be on the table until 9 May.
It brings together dishes inspired by homes and bylanes across India — cooked in a homestyle way, made mostly in-house, and designed so everyone at the table can eat well.

You’ll notice:
• Dishes from different states, not just one region
• A menu that works for vegetarians, gluten-free guests and those with dietary restrictions
• Food that’s comforting, thoughtful and meant to be enjoyed unhurried

If you’re new here, this menu is a good place to start.
And if you’ve been around for a while — thank you for letting us keep telling India’s food story, one season at a time.

We can’t wait to welcome you to our Veranda.

Some things matter more than visibility. They matter because they create safety, belonging, confidence and community.

At Veranda Indian, we’ve always believed a Veranda is more than a place to eat. It’s where conversations happen. Where generations connect. Where people feel held.

That’s why supporting Rising Ranis felt instinctive to us.

Rising Ranis is building a safe, intentional community for South Asian girls aged 13–18 — a space for mentorship, identity, confidence and connection, guided by strong values and real care.

On 28 February 2026, we’re hosting the official Rising Ranis launch with a high tea at Veranda Indian.
A space for mums and daughters to come together, meet like-minded families, and be part of something meaningful from the very beginning.

If you’re a mum to a South Asian daughter — or you know one who would benefit from this — we’d love for you to learn more.

Comment RANI below and I’ll send you the link with all the details.

Because when we intentionally support our girls, we strengthen the community we’re building for tomorrow.

With love,
Tavishi 🧡 #

Home food isn’t just about recipes.
It’s about memory. Comfort. Belonging.

For us, it’s the food we grew up eating — different in every home, every region, every season. The kind of food that doesn’t always make it onto restaurant menus, but stays with you for life.

Veranda Indian started from that feeling. A desire to bring home food from different parts of India to one table — cooked slowly, made in-house, and served the way we remember it.

If you’ve ever missed the food you grew up with — this one’s for you.
And if you’re discovering it for the first time, we’re so glad you’re here.

We can’t wait to welcome you to our Veranda 🧡
