ENRICH supports wildlife conservation through improving captive animal welfare across rescue, rehabilitation, and release programs within sanctuaries. We focus on maintaining the behavioural purity of a captive species, ensuring it is then behaviourally ready for return back to the wild upon release. Applying behavioural enrichment techniques we focus on innovative ‘species specific resource manag

ement’ not traditional ‘generalist animal management’ models. We aim to provide captive animals with opportunities to address their behavioural needs, via giving them control and choice within their enclosure, and allowing them to benefit from the decisions they make. Consequently, we assist sanctuaries through funding, planning, maintenance and development, and with on ground specialist support and educational programs. ENRICH also works closely with locals; respecting their culture, religion, and community values. As a result our ENRICH volunteers have the opportunity to work on projects that directly improve animal welfare, assist conservation, and help support the efforts of local communities, whilst also enriching their own goals and inner values.
