☕️ Your grind size can make or break your pour over.

The same coffee can taste completely different depending on how it’s ground.

🔹 Fine Grind – Slows the flow of water, increasing extraction. Expect a fuller body, more bitterness, and the risk of over-extraction if it’s too fine.

🔹 Medium Grind – The sweet spot for most pour over brewers. Balanced extraction, bringing out sweetness, clarity, and the coffee’s natural flavours.

🔹 Coarse Grind – Water flows through too quickly, reducing extraction. This can result in a lighter body, higher acidity, and a sour or weak cup if it’s too coarse.

The goal is simple: adjust your grind until your coffee is sweet, balanced, and full of flavour. Small changes can make a huge difference.

What an incredible milestone.

A few weeks ago we celebrated the graduation of the very first Roast & Rise class The Roasting Club

This programme is about so much more than coffee. It’s about creating opportunities, building confidence, developing real hospitality skills, and helping people take the next step towards meaningful employment.

Seeing our graduates receive their certificates after all their hard work made us incredibly proud. Every one of them showed commitment, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion to learn.

A huge thank you to our amazing trainers, our Government and Job Service Provider partners, and everyone who helped make this programme a reality.

This is just the beginning. We look forward to watching our graduates thrive in the hospitality industry and welcoming many more students through future Roast & Rise programmes.
