Finally i have a use for this gorgeous vintage egg box i've been carting from house to house for the last 30 years.

Cross Stitch Wednesday! (That’s a thing right?)
This is our favourite cross stitch in the tea room. We picked up this amazing poodle at an op shop in the inner west. No idea how old it is.
We make a point of bringing it out and showing it to any black poodles that come in. They always appreciate seeing such a fine specimen encapsulated in yarn.

We commissioned a very talented Sydney artist recently — the wonderful ✏️

James spent some time sketching the little details that make The Tea Cosy what it is: scones, tea pots, knitting, jam, The Rocks, and all the cosy corners we love. We were completely blown away by the result.

You'll be seeing this beautiful artwork popping up around the tea room soon — on menus, tea towels, tote bags, and possibly even staff underwear (only joking... probably 😉).

A huge thank you to James for capturing the spirit of The Tea Cosy so perfectly. We can't wait to share more with you all.

We think it's really important to support local artists, it's very tempting for businesses to use AI these days, but even without the moral conundrum you could never get a result like this.
