Fuelled by great vibes and even better coffee ☕️🏃

Last Sunday, The Grounds Roastery team rolled up to the HOKA Runaway Sydney Half Marathon with our coffee tuk-tuk, pouring coffees for participants, spectators and everyone in-between looking to soak up the atmosphere.

Melbourne’s biggest week of coffee and our team showed up ready!

From pouring our signature blends to showing off some of our favourite merch, we were right in the mix at the Roaster’s Playground, sharing what The Grounds Roastery is all about with a crowd that lives and breathes coffee.

Two days of nonstop pours, discussions and connections with café owners, roasters and coffee lovers from all over, all coming together to celebrate the craft and culture behind every cup.

Flower Child Café at Warringah Mall is famous for its stunning “wicker wonderland” design and that prime spot by the dolphin fountain. But behind the aesthetics is a team working hard to keep standards high every single day.

High-performance flavour, straight from the supplier. Meet Erwin Mierisch, a 5th generation speciality coffee producer from the Nicaraguan coffee powerhouse Fincas Mierisch, talking all about the Super Rare Honduran Santa Lucia Geisha.

This coffee is a masterclass in agronomy. Grown at 1,550m in the misty highlands of Comayagua, it thrives in a unique high-altitude microclimate that acts as a natural greenhouse for flavor development. The engineering continues after harvest: the beans are dry-fermented for 36 hours and slow-dried under 50% shade, a rigorous process designed to preserve unparalleled clarity and structural depth.

This isn’t your average daily brew, it’s a Cup of Excellence winner scoring 94.84 points, with notes of floral jasmine, peach, passionfruit, and a silky, juicy finish that lingers.

Our Costa Rica Volcán Azul Single Origin comes from the slopes of Poás Volcano, where rich volcanic soil brings out its bright, juicy character.

Competing alongside some of Sydney’s most skilled baristas and roasters, they brought focus, creativity and calm precision to every pour. A well-earned result and a true reflection of their passion for the craft and the community that inspires it! 👏🏼☕️
