Italians may visit their local bar several times throughout the day for coffee, in the early evening for an 'aperitivo', dinner itself, and for after dinner cockatils. Italian bars come in many shapes and sizes and they can be divided into two quite distinct categories: there are those that open in the morning and serve coffee, drinks, pastries and sandwiches called 'panini' ('un panino' is one sa

ndwich, 'due panini' are two sandwiches), and close at about the same time as the shops; and then there are those which open in the early evening in time for the 'aperitivo', a typical ritual which gives everyone a chance to update on all matters of concern to the 'quartiere', that is, anything that may have transpired since they popped in for 'colazione' (breakfast) that morning. Often the aperitivo turns into dinner: sharing plates of Pizza or Antipasto and waltzing away till late at night to the sound of live bands, a Dj or even just the radio. An Italian Bar is all about a great atmosphere and good music, where the best food and drink are served all day non stop. And today we officially returned the keys of our home for the last 8 years.

We thank you again for your support and we have being privileged to operate in such a beautiful venue that we know many of you also loved.

We are looking forward to host you again sometime soon with our new format.

After almost 8 years
Italian Bar at 438 closed it’s doors but we are still operating in the hood from our cafe .
We are working to bring your back Italian Bar in a new format, but offering the same quality and love made food as always.

After yesterday evening last service, today we are celebrating 8 years in want we called our home, Italian Bar on 438 Oxford Street in Paddingron.
We will open our doors today offering free pizzas to our friends and locals who come and visit.
Come and grab a drink and free slice and farewell this beautiful venue.
The franchi brothers will be welcoming you.
But remember:
One door closes, another one opens.

After seven and half years serving our locals and people from all over Sydney and beyond, we have arrived to the end of our lease and era of Italian Bar @ 438 Oxford Street Paddington.
Due to a development of the premises we will be opened until Christmas 2021.
It won’t be the end of Italian Bar. We will be back in a different form serving the same love made pizzas and Italian wines in another location and way.
( For the time being we also have our espresso bar called at 394 Oxford street).

Come and celebrate at least one more time in the next 6 weeks. From small tables to functions in our leafy courtyard.
The brothers will welcome you and your family/ friends/colleagues with open arms and big smile.
Thank you for your support so far, we love you all.

Hi!
We are looking for a kitchen hand to work in our pizza kitchen.
Experienced preferred but passion for food/pizza and willing to learn and grow professionally also accepted.
Important is eye for details, tidiness, self and environmental hygiene.
Position requires:
- Dish washing
- Preparation
- Baking pizzas and top them before being served
- General cleaning.
