One important rule: hand your phone to someone before you begin.

The Whisky Bone Luge is one of Mjølner’s most popular rituals and quite possibly the most photographed and filmed moment in the entire venue.

First, you feast on the roasted bone marrow. Then we heat the cleared bone, caramelising the remaining fat before pouring whisky straight through it. As the whisky travels down the bone, it picks up that warm, rich, caramelised flavour on the way through.

It’s decadent. It’s theatrical. It’s a little bit wild. And when the whole table erupts, you’ll understand why so many guests want the moment captured.

Come for the feast. Leave with a story and a video you’ll be replaying for years.

Are you ready to get your Viking on?

Father’s Day is this Sunday, and there’s still time to make it legendary.

Gather the clan at Mjølner for a feast worthy of Odin, with roasted meats, generous sides, drinking horns raised high and the rituals that make every celebration feel larger than life.

For fathers, grandfathers and the men who helped raise us, this is no ordinary Sunday lunch.

What would Vikings eat if they lived today?

That was the question behind the Mjølner menu.

Not an attempt to recreate an everyday meal from the ninth century—but an imagining of how the larger-than-life Vikings of legend might feast in the modern world.

The feast begins with oysters, gravlax, smoked venison and roasted bone marrow, before moving to a deliberately simple selection of mains:

One bird.
One fish.
One vegetable dish.
And the beasts.

Originally, there was only going to be one beast on the menu at a time. Then our beef short rib became far too popular to remove—so it earned a permanent place at the table. Today, it sits alongside a second beast and a changing daily beast feature selected by our chefs.

Add rustic sides, indulgent desserts with Nordic influences and a few unmistakably Mjølner rituals along the way. Choose your weapon from the knife roll, raise a drinking horn with your clan and, when the marrow bone is bare, perhaps finish it with a whisky luge.

Our current favourite ending? The Norwegian-inspired Riskrem—a suitably indulgent reward for anyone who remembers to leave room.

This is not simply dinner. It is our answer to a question:

What would Vikings eat today?

At Mjølner, our cocktail list draws on Norse mythology and Viking legend, with each section offering its own story, character and distinctive flavour profile.

Each section offers a different path through the menu.

Thor’s Favourites brings together our boldest signatures and most theatrical serves.

Sharpening the Axe is where you’ll find bright, crisp cocktails designed to awaken the palate.

Fruits of Yggdrasil is juicy, fruit-forward and inspired by the World Tree.

Freyja’s Fixes are aromatic, alluring and often more powerful than they first appear.

Aboard the Longship offers fresh, citrus-led cocktails for the voyage ahead.

And for those drawn to dark spirits and fearless flavours, the Berserkers await.

You don’t need to know every spirit, ingredient or cocktail technique. Simply begin with the flavours you enjoy and allow the menu—and perhaps the gods—to guide you from there.

Find your flavour. Choose your path. Raise a glass with your clan.

The Blazing Glögg.

When Sydney turns cold, we turn to fire.

Crafted with Martell VS Cognac, port and cranberry, then blazed and thrown before service, this winter favourite arrives hot, warming and very much aflame.

Gather the clan, settle in and leave the cold outside.

The drinking horn is more than a vessel. It is part of the Mjølner ritual.

Each horn in the Viking Mode collection is naturally unique, with its own shape, markings and character. Made for raising beer, mead or whatever your feast demands, it brings a little of Valhalla to every table.

You don’t simply order a whisky at Mjølner. Sometimes, you summon the Hammer.

Weighing eight kilos and forged by the same blacksmith who created weapons for The Lord of the Rings, this extraordinary steel decanter is one of only two in existence, both created for Mjølner.

Hidden inside is a full bottle of The Balvenie, poured tableside directly from the head of Thor’s Hammer.

It’s part whisky serve, part Viking theatre and quite possibly the most photographed object in Mjølner. Because once the Hammer arrives, everyone wants their turn wielding it.

Ask our team to summon the Hammer when you dine.

The whisky may disappear. The photo will live forever. Skål!

The best events are those who become stories.

Behind the emblazoned wooden doors of Mjølner, your guests enter a world of fire, feasting and Viking ritual.

Raise a drinking horn and toast the Old Gods. Choose your weapon from our collection of handmade blades. Then gather around the table as a shared feast arrives accompanied by theatrical cocktails, flowing drinks and genuine Mjølner hospitality.

Want to take the experience further? Add a whisky bone luge, explore rare drams from our collection of more than 400 whiskies or have The Balvenie poured tableside directly from the Hammer itself.

From birthdays and engagement celebrations to team events and corporate gatherings, Mjølner can accommodate everything from intimate private booths to our Feasting Hall or an exclusive takeover of the entire venue.

This isn’t another function package in another function room.

It’s a feast your guests will remember.

Let us create an event the old gods would approve of. Skål!
