Izakaya Sh**un is now Niko Camperdown.
New name, but the same people behind it.

Since opening in 2020, this place has become so much more to us than just a restaurant.

We’ve met so many wonderful people here — our regulars who visit us week after week, our neighbours who stop by just to say hello, and everyone who has supported us through all the changes, challenges, and everything in between.

We’re truly grateful to those who have continued to come back year after year, and also to our wonderful team, who work alongside us every day to make this place better.

After almost six years as Izakaya Sh**un, we knew it was time for a change — to build something that could continue and grow for many more years to come. Instead of leaving, we decided to evolve.

Niko has a new name, concept and menu, but we are still the same business, under the same management, and our Japanese High Tea will continue too.

We know that changing our name, menu and concept may have been confusing, and perhaps even disappointing for some of you. But we hope this new chapter gives us the opportunity to serve you better, while continuing to grow into something we’re truly proud of.

We’re now open Monday to Saturday for lunch and dinner, and we hope to welcome both familiar and new faces to this next chapter.

🌸A New Chapter🌸

When we opened Sh**un just a few months before COVID, we never imagined what the years ahead would bring.

There were many challenges along the way, but thanks to your support, we were able to keep going. We are truly grateful to everyone who has visited, supported, and been part of our journey.❤️

Camperdown has become a very special place to us, and we feel incredibly thankful that we were able to build Sh**un here. It has been an honour to serve this community.

Now, it’s time for a new chapter.

To prepare for our new name and new concept, we’ll be temporarily closed from 10th August (Monday) to 13th August (Thursday) next week.

We’ll reopen on 14th August(Friday), and we can’t wait to welcome you back.
