It’s rare that we go to the movies. For and myself, it really has to be a good one. A movie that moves you or at least grabs you from the first trailer. Last year we only watched four movies in the cinema (, Freakier Friday, and ), just cause of how the year turned out. And in 2024, we only saw 2 in the cinemas ( and and Wolverine). This year we plan to see catch all three of Doomsday, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew and the new film in the cinemas/IMAX. But before we get to all of these at the end of the year; let me tell you… that Jon and I saw a brilliant, captivating, inspiring and wonderfully hopeful movie today.
The 2018 film I Can Only Imagine didn’t need a sequel. You had the story of (frontman of ) writing the hit song I Can Only Imagine inspired by his tenuous relationship with his father. That’s an inspirational film in its own right. But eight years later, we have 2. I won’t go into details… but please go watch this movie and the first one if you haven’t! It’s amazing and one of my favourite movies in a long time! It will really challenge you and also lift your spirits!
Well done to all involved (, , Milo Ventimiglia, .skelton, , ), you all were superb, and Jon and myself were blessed to see such an incredible true story brought to life on the screen! It was also great to eat out for dinner beforehand as well (cause we never really do that on the regular!), so all in all, a great afternoon. Note- sorry about the last photo, it was a landscape photo instead of portrait! Note 2- audio on insta is still sketchy for me so the song ‘Even If’ is in the comments!
