We honestly don't know where to begin... 💚
The love and support you've shown Lantern Alley during our soft opening has been far beyond anything we ever imagined. Every day we've welcomed more guests than our little kitchen was built for, and we are incredibly grateful.
At the same time, we want to sincerely apologise to everyone whose experience wasn't perfect.
Our kitchen ventilation hasn't been keeping up with the demand. With our chargrill, fryers, woks and soup stations all running at full capacity, the kitchen has become much smokier than it should be. We're already working on improving this as quickly as possible.
Because of the overwhelming support, there have also been times where we had to stop taking walk-ins once we reached our maximum capacity. It honestly breaks our hearts to turn people away, especially when you've made the trip to visit us.
👉 If you're coming with a group of 4 or more, we'd really appreciate it if you could book ahead. We'd much rather save you a table than have to disappoint you at the door.
Our kitchen team is also very new. Everyone is learning, growing, and giving their absolute best every single service. There may be times when your food takes a little longer than expected, and for that, we are truly sorry. We promise we're working hard every day to become faster while never compromising the quality of the food we serve.
Soft opening is exactly what it sounds like — a time for us to learn, improve, and build the restaurant we've always dreamed of. Your patience, kind words, understanding, and encouragement mean more to us than you'll ever know.
