LANOLIPS ✌🏽 + body + face sent over their new Butterscotch Cookie and White Chocolate Raspberry lipgloss and, as I’ve said before, if something smells good enough to eat, I’m probably going to bake it.

🍪 Ingredients
* 150g unsalted butter, softened
* 70g caster sugar
* 150g brown sugar
* 1 egg
* 1 tbsp treacle
* 1 tsp vanilla extract
* 2 cups plain flour
* ½ tsp baking powder
* ½ tsp baking soda
* ½ tsp salt
* 150g white chocolate, chopped
* 100g macadamias, chopped
* 100g salted toffee shards

🍪 Method
1. Cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
2. Beat in the egg, vanilla and treacle.
3. Mix in the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt until just combined.
4. Fold through the white chocolate, macadamias and toffee shards.
5. Roll into large cookie dough balls and chill for at least 1 hour.
6. Bake at 180°C fan-forced for 12–14 minutes until golden around the edges.
7. Cool slightly, then top with whipped butterscotch and extra toffee pieces.

Baking for Loneliness 🌼

I made these for Dianne, my hairdresser since I was 12. She’s always there with a laugh, a chat, and somehow manages to make both my hair and my soul feel a little better.

A reminder that sometimes the people who brighten our lives aren’t always who you’d expect. 💛

The crème caramel custard tart 🍮✨

This glorious golden baby disappeared in minutes. Buttery sweet shortcrust pastry, silky baked custard, and a glossy caramel glaze inspired by my favourite dessert of all time—crème caramel.

Would you choose this over a classic crème caramel? 👀

Tim Tam Lamingtons 🤎

In a world that moves so quickly, I hope we never forget the simple comfort of sitting down with a cuppa and a piece of cake.

These Tim Tam lamingtons are part of my Baking for Loneliness series, a reminder that food can be a small act of care, whether it’s shared with someone you love, dropped off at a neighbour’s door, or enjoyed quietly on your own.

And today, they’re for someone special. Happy Birthday to my bestie, Tracy Boo. 🫶

Because sometimes the most meaningful words aren’t spoken at all. Sometimes they’re wrapped up in chocolate, coconut, and cream and simply say, I made this for you.

Never underestimate the power of a cuppa, a slice of cake, and good company. ❤️

Why do men put every phone call on speaker like the whole room has been invited to the conversation? 😩

A sweet ending beneath the vine. 🍊✨

Our Turkish milk cake, soaked in three kinds of milk and topped with caramel cream, was served with fresh orange segments for a little touch of Cyprus. Simple, nostalgic, and the perfect way to finish an evening celebrating our Turkish and Sudanese heritage.

And if you’re trying to eat through the screen, the recipe is up on my substack, you’ll want this one.

I Made This For You 🤍

My friend just turned 31 and has somehow become a grandma before her time. If I mention a cup of tea while we’re out, she’s getting ready to leave.

So I decided to meet her halfway.

A sunny afternoon, a pot of peppermint tea, and a slice of cake made just for her: soft hot milk sponge layered with Brazilian brigadeiro cream and winter berry compote, finished with a dusting of icing sugar.

One of the things I’ve learnt is that loneliness doesn’t always look like being alone. Sometimes it looks like staying home one too many times, putting off plans, or forgetting how good it feels to sit across from someone and laugh.

So this is your reminder to invite the friend, bake the cake, pour the tea, and make the time.

This one was made for you. 🤍☕️🍰 recipe is up on my paid substack!
