Today we held our monthly committee meeting at the Italian Social Club, with plenty of exciting discussions about the future of our club and the events we have planned for our community 🇮🇹✨

We spent time discussing our upcoming Joe Avati event (ONLY 80 TICKETS REMAINING 😍😍😍), which is shaping up to be a fantastic night, as well as the new grant that our club has recently been successful in obtaining. This support will help us continue improving our facilities and creating more opportunities for the community to come together.

A major focus of the meeting was our new kitchen project, with hopes to begin works with Halligan Construction in the coming weeks. This is a significant step forward for the club and an exciting investment in our future functions, events and catering capabilities.

We also welcomed Amy from Swan Hill Guardian, who took photos of our hall and the new acoustic paneling installed last week. The paneling has already made such a noticeable difference by reducing the echo in the hall and creating a much more comfortable atmosphere for our events and gatherings.

Finally, we had some great discussions around major events for 2027, with several exciting ideas being explored for next year’s calendar. We’re looking forward to bringing even more entertainment, social events and community celebrations to the Italian Social Club.

As a committee, we would also like to put a call out to our community and local businesses for donations and sponsorship to assist with our upcoming events and future projects. While the grant is an incredible boost, it is allocated specifically toward the kitchen building works, which remain a significant undertaking within an already stretched budget.

Every contribution — whether through sponsorship, donations, or in-kind support — helps us continue improving the club and creating events that bring our community together. **MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT**

Minister for Multicultural and Multifaith Victoria Ingrid Stitt announced on Friday 10 July, the successful recipients of the 2025-26 Multicultural Infrastructure and Security Program (MISP).

We are very fortunate and thankful to be one of those successful recipients. We will receive funding from the Victorian Government through MISP to provide much needed upgrades to our kitchen. The upgrades of the kitchen will include (but not limited to) new flooring, stainless benches, new windows and door, new split system air conditioner/heating, just to name a few.

The existing kitchen has served our community well for many years, but it had become outdated and was in need of a much needed refresh. Thanks to this funding, we will be able to create a modern, functioning, and welcoming space that will better support the many groups, community and private events that make our club so special.

The exciting upgrades will improve the kitchens safety, accessibility and functionality, ensuring it continues to be a valuable space for our community for many years to come.

The funding has also meant we were able to install acoustic panels in the main hall, which will make a huge sound difference by reducing the echo and creating a much more enjoyable atmosphere for our events, functions and celebrations.

We would like to sincerely thank everyone who supported us, as well as our funding provider the Victorian Government, for making this upgrade possible.

We look forward to sharing our progress and celebrating the completed kitchen with you all!

✨ Exciting things are happening at the Italian Social Club! ✨

Today we’re having acoustic panels installed in our hall – a much-needed upgrade that will make a huge difference by reducing the echo and creating a much more enjoyable atmosphere for our events, functions and celebrations.

We’re committed to improving our club and making it an even better place for our members, guests and the wider community to enjoy.

But this is just the beginning… 👀

We have something even BIGGER coming to the hall that we can’t wait to share with you (besides Joe Avati 😏)!
