It’s definitely the people that make this work special…and what will be missed the most. Sometimes the words of others sum it up best:

Suzie Q -

We found you right when we moved to Sydney. Before we know any other cafe. You provided us with a home. Even during lockdown, you gave us well-made meals to break up the boredom, to give us something to look forward to. You’ve always been our secret spot, our local.

I’m writing this to thank you all for giving us friendly, smiling faces to get to know, for being familiar, for being welcoming, and for giving us a tiny sense of belonging when we needed it more than anything else. I hope the world is as kind to you in your future adventures as you were to us.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY + FAREWELL

This month we celebrate our tenth birthday.

Sadly we also wave good-bye.

Sunday, 13th November will be our final day of operations.

The business climate in this post pandemic world has not been kind, + despite the incredible loyalty of our amazing customers, unfortunately we have become another Covid victim.

On a personal note I'd like to say that my life has been indelibly changed for the better since I took over the reins at the cafe. Despite the obvious hardships, I have witnessed the absolute best in my fellow humans, and for that I will be eternally grateful. There are no regrets!

There’s a lot more to say, but it's far too emotional. Hopefully we’ll see some of you in the coming days.

Every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end…
