Before the surreyhills wakes, I do.

In the quiet of the early morning,
I open the doors, turn on the lights,
prepare the café, and make the first coffee of the day.

It’s a rhythm I’ve lived for years.
Showing up at the same hour, every morning,
almost like a promise.

Because soon, someone will walk through that door.
Maybe they’re starting a busy day,
meeting someone they love,
or simply looking for a quiet moment with a good cup of coffee.

And I get to be a small part of that.

This is café life.
This is barista life.
Early mornings, familiar faces, and countless cups of coffee.

Every day begins again,
with the hope of making someone’s day a little better.
