The struggle of being foodies in a tourist town? Finding hidden gems amongst all the tourist traps. 👀🍴My husband and I headed to Mooloolaba for a kid-free foodie date at La Casa Beach Bar, a Brazilian restaurant that's been around for about two years.

We started with a Mooloolaba Slipper and a Brazilian Caipirinha, followed by Coffin Bay oysters and chilli garlic prawns. Then came our mains, and I'm still thinking about them! 🤤

The Barramundi à la Brasa was golden and crispy, served with pea purée and a fresh fennel and orange salad. The Seafood Moqueca was just as good, packed with fish, prawns and calamari in a rich coconut broth. Both were cooked perfectly and tasted incredibly fresh.

Next time, we're bringing our kid because the Mooloolaba Adventure Playground is literally across the road! He gets to play, we get great food, and everyone's happy. 😂❤️
