A: our delicious raspberry danish’s from tempt patisserie

A: chill or upbeat sorta music depends on the day, although Olivia Dean and Fleetwood Mac I’d always go back too

Welcome to our new segment of getting to know the staff of The Cart

Since we see all of our lovely customers on a regular basis and share stories with you all, it might be nice to share some fun facts about us.

First staff member is Taliyah 💁‍♀️
Taliyahs behind the coffee machine along side with Finn our amazing boss on most mornings. She’s been working here for nearly a year!

Q: Taliyah, What’s your go to drink?
A: Iced Latte on oat milk splash of vanilla and three-four shots of coffee

Q:What’s one thing most customers don’t know about you?
A: That i’m in year 12 🤪 I must look old for my age, everyone thinks I’m in my 20s.

Q:What do you love most about the community?
A: That we can all come together and they genuinely care so much about each other and support each other

Q: Favourite pastry out of the cabinet?
A: Come down on a weekend ifykyk but I’m partial to an almond croissant

Q:What’s your favourite music to listen to while working?
A: I’m very bipolar when it comes to music while working but mostly old rock music (apparently i don’t look like the type to listen to Metallica 🤨🤘)

To everyone who visited QLD Yarnfest over the weekend and came to say hi, make a purchase from my yarn, pattern and kit selection, to bring me treats and to show and tell me about items they have made from my store.
A massive thank you also to Rebecca and her QLD yarn fest team who assisted everyone over the weekend and put together this fantastic event in this new spacious location.
I think it is safe to say if was a great weekend for everyone who visited and who had a stall collectively.
I love this yarny community, the new friends I have made along the way and the support, encouragement and inspiration we all share with each other. Thank you to all you fellow stall holders for becoming my friends along this amazing journey. 🩷
I’m looking forward to seeing everyone at next years event. I have heaps of new patterns currently in the pipeline and yarns to showcase in the near future.
As I am currently redoing my website it’s currently down for the count so if theres something you’re after please do get in touch with me.
If you’d like to pop in for a visit sometime I’m open: Wed & Fri 9.30 til 3pm and Thurs & Sat 9am til 1 pm.
….. and we have a brilliant coffee shop The Cart open til 12noon daily, right next door.
