FROM A LITTLE GIRL WHO COULDN’T AFFORD A BIRTHDAY CAKE TO OWNING A FRENCH PATISSERIE. ❤️
Growing up, birthday cakes were a luxury my family couldn’t always afford.
I still remember how my mum would give us a beautifully wrapped bar of soap whenever we were invited to someone’s birthday party.
As a little girl, I felt embarrassed. While other children arrived with lovely presents, there I was, holding a bar of soap.
I didn’t understand it back then.
But now, as a mother myself, I finally understand.
That bar of soap was all my mum could afford. Yet she still made sure we never arrived empty-handed.
What once embarrassed me has become one of the greatest lessons of my life.
It’s not about how much you have. It’s about how much love you give with what you have.
Fast-forward to today, Alhamdulillah, we now own a French patisserie. Something that little girl holding a bar of soap could never have imagined.
And I made a promise to myself.
As long as we have the opportunity, we will do our best to make sure nobody celebrates their special day feeling alone or forgotten in our shop.
Because I know what it feels like when something as simple as a birthday cake is a luxury.
And now that we have the opportunity to create those little moments of happiness for others, why wouldn’t we?
That’s what Louis Boeglin means to me. More than just a business, it’s an opportunity to give others the little joys I once dreamed of having.
ONE LITTLE WARNING, THOUGH! 😂
If you’re shy, PLEASE don’t tell Chef Daniel it’s your birthday.
That man has absolutely no shame when it comes to singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY at the top of his lungs, even in a café full of strangers!
YOU’VE BEEN WARNED! 😂🎂
To everyone who allows us to be part of their special moments, thank you.
The little girl who once felt embarrassed holding a bar of soap now gets to put birthday cakes on other people’s tables.
And that means more to me than words can ever explain. ❤️
