❤️ THE END OF ONE CHAPTER & THE BEGINNING OF ANOTHER ❤️
Well… the day has finally arrived.
After five wonderful years, today we officially say goodbye to the Stroud Milk Bar & Café and hand over the keys to its new owner, Kelly. 🔑❤️
It’s incredibly difficult to put into words how we’re feeling this morning.
When we took on the café five years ago, we could never have imagined just how much a little milk bar would become such a huge part of our lives.
There have been ridiculously busy days, early mornings, crazy weekends, challenges, laughter, tears, friendships and more memories than we could ever count.
But most of all, there have been people.
To our amazing staff — thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️
You have been so much more than employees. You have been the people we relied on, laughed with, worried with and celebrated with. You turned up when we needed you, worked incredibly hard when things were crazy and cared about the café and our customers.
We are so proud of what we have achieved together, and we simply could not have done it without you.
To our wonderful customers and the Stroud community — thank you.
Thank you for supporting our little café, particularly through some challenging times. Thank you for the morning coffees, the lunches, the takeaway dinners, the chats across the counter, the laughs and, most importantly, your friendship.
Some of you have walked through those doors almost every day for the past five years, and we will miss seeing those familiar faces more than you know.
Supporting a small local business means so much more than simply buying a coffee or a meal. Every time you chose to walk through our door, you supported our staff, our family and a little business in the heart of Stroud.
We will be forever grateful. ❤️
And now it’s time for a new chapter…
We honestly couldn't be happier to be handing the Stroud Milk Bar & Café over to Kelly.
Getting to know her throughout this process has made us incredibly comfortable about stepping away. She genuinely cares about the café, the team and the community, and we know she is going to bring her own ideas, personality and enthusiasm to this next chapter.
Kelly, the café is yours now. ❤️
Make it your own, enjoy it, put your own stamp on it and create some wonderful memories of your own.
You have a fantastic team around you, some incredibly loyal customers and a community that loves its little café.
We know you are going to do it proud.
And to everyone reading this — please get behind Kelly and give her the same wonderful support you have given us over the past five years. Pop in, say hello, introduce yourself and make her feel as welcome in Stroud as you have always made us feel.
As for us, this isn't really goodbye.
Stroud is our home, and we're certainly not disappearing — although it may feel a little strange being on the other side of the counter ordering the coffee! 😂☕️
We leave with full hearts, wonderful memories, some lifelong friendships and enormous gratitude for everyone who has been part of this journey.
So, for the very last time as the owners of the Stroud Milk Bar & Café…
