So last Thursday, I catered my very first dinner event for about 120 people. Going into it I was a little worried that maybe my food wasn’t going to be good enough, that I am not suited to doing this job even though it is just a hobby, and I had a lot of self doubt in my skills and knowledge.
I received some feedback today from people who attended that dinner that I didn’t even realise were there and I’ve had nothing but positive words given back to me. To be completely honest, I wasn’t expecting it, I had convinced myself that it was terrible 😅 But it goes to show just because you might not believe in what you do, it doesn’t mean people don’t see it for what actually is.
Thank you Stawell Warriors Football & Netball Club Inc. for giving me the opportunity to cater your presentation evening.

Thanks Rayners Mini Market & Fruit & Vegetables & Pyrenees Premium Cuts for supplying all the meat and produce I used for this dinner!

This year I am bringing back my seven days of Christmas Menu with a few sneaky changes 🤫

Today was a little more special than most. 💕

This beautiful two-tiered cake was created to celebrate an incredible woman on her 80th birthday, a woman who has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.
From about the age of 3, she watched me grow up, and together with her husband, they gave me my very first job. I was lucky enough to work for them for nearly 12 years, and the lessons, support, and memories from that time have stayed with me ever since.
Being asked to create this cake for such a milestone was more than just another order, it was an honour. It's moments like these that remind me why I love what I do. Cakes become part of life's biggest celebrations, and sometimes they come full circle in the most meaningful way.

Happy 80th Birthday! I hope your day was filled with love, laughter, and all the joy you so richly deserve. ❤️

…And finally, rounding out the weekend, I had the privilege of catering a 1st birthday! Unfortunately, this was the only photo I took 😂 I’m sure you can imagine the food, think sausage rolls and pizza pinwheels 🤤 classic birthday party food

I’m exhausted after this weekend, but man I’d do it again, and probably will! It just warms my heart watching people enjoy something that I’ve created, it truly is a Joyful experience 💚
