🚒 Honouring Our Firefighters ❤️

Today, we acknowledge and thank the incredible men and women who put their lives on the line to protect our communities. While we all were enjoying our Fathers Day weekend these Legends were at work looking after our communities.

Thank you for the long hours, the sacrifices, the bravery and the unwavering commitment to keeping people safe. Your work goes far beyond fighting fires — you bring hope, protection and reassurance when people need it most.

To every firefighter and their families: thank you for your service and sacrifice. You are true community heroes. 🙏🚒 . We will be shouting a Free meal to Fire Fighters this week. You can either be in your uniform or just show our team your ID. Photo credit Mayor Teresa Harding

Feeling deeply emotional, grateful, and humbled to receive the President’s Award. ❤️

This moment means more to me than words can truly express. Behind a Trophey is a journey filled with challenges, sacrifices, doubts, lessons, and countless moments when giving up would have been easier. But every step, every setback, and every small victory brought me closer to this incredible moment. I must say not in my wildest dreams I ever would have imagined winning this prestigious recognition.

I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone who believed in me, encouraged me, supported me, and stood by my side throughout this journey. To my incredible team, mentors, and everyone who plays a part in my story—thank you from the bottom of my heart. A massive thanks to my family for putting up with me.

For me, success has never been monetary or just about receiving recognition. It’s about the people who walk beside you, the lives you touch,the community we serve as I come from values and background where giving back is your duty.

We’ve been wanting to do something fun for the little ones in our community and we thought this would be a great way to get everyone involved so we’ve created a gorgeous Brookwater inspired picture to colour in and 1 lucky artist will take home something special for their Dad.

Entries to be dropped at The Coffee Club Orion by 12pm Saturday 5th September.

The colouring sheets will be distributed into your letterboxes this weekend, so keep an eye out. If you’d like extra copies, just call or message me.

While winning is always wonderful, I truly believe it’s not just about the win — it’s about celebrating the journey. ❤️

The late nights, the challenges, the lessons, good coffees, great food, the people who supported us, and every little milestone along the way — these are the moments that make the journey so meaningful.

Being recognised as a finalist is a reminder of how far we’ve come as a team and how much there is still to achieve.
