The moon is our calendar 🌙
When we set out to create a beautiful local milk, having it in a glass bottle was never in question. But it could never just be a ‘glass bottle’, it had to tell our story and the story of dairy farming in Australia.
Our first glass bottle pays tribute to the regions we milk and bottle in. With the Manning Valley on the front, and the Northern Rivers on the back.
As spring begins to flourish, our second bottle arrives, this one is inspired by the moon and the seasons.
The moon is the farmers calendar, marking the natural rhythm to which they plant, nurture and harvest.
In dairy, spring is everything. An abundance of new shoots, flowers, sunshine, and milk. The spring flush.
Three moons mark this moment:
🥚 The Egg Moon, birds build their nests and lay eggs
🥛 The Milk Moon, abundance of milk from from the spring shoots
🌸 The Flower Moon, flowers and plants bloom
On this bottle you will find spring and its moons on the front, then on the back you will find autumn and its moons. This idea was brought to life by Michael Wholley, the artist behind our caramel boxes.
You’ll start to find this bottle appear as the new spring shoots do. Find it at your local deli, your favourite cafe, and at Carriageworks Market.
