One of the lovely things about opening our new after hours takeaway window is the people we get to meet! ❤️
This arvo we welcomed a lovely group all the way from Holland who popped in for a chat and a squiz while visiting Australia for their daughter’s wedding in Alstonville.

Honestly, they could very well be four of the nicest people I’ve ever met! So we lettem in 🤣🤣

I absolutely love Jacaranda and tourist season. We get so many wonderful visitors passing through Grafton, and it makes us so happy to know that Grumpy’s has become a little stop along the way for so many travellers.

To our new Dutch friends, all the very best for the wedding! I hope it’s an absolutely beautiful day, and congratulations to your daughter on marrying an Aussie chap! 🇳🇱❤️🇦🇺

🌞 SUNDAY ON THE SOUTH SIDE! 🌞

You can feel spring in the air today! The jacarandas are starting to bloom, people are smiling, walking their dogs and tipping their hats to each other, just like the old days. What a vibe!

It’s not about the money, is it? Really, it’s about the principle.

The Federal Government says we can’t on charge tap-and-pay or credit card fees. We were paying 1.6% and only passing on 1.2% not even the full cost.

So apparently this is a win for consumers?

We’ll absorb the cost, and we’ll decide with our feet whether we continue supporting our supplier. But don’t kid yourself, these costs don’t magically disappear. They eventually find their way into the cost of running a business and, ultimately, into prices.

So we’re going to make our position very clear.
