Costa Rica, steeped in the French press to bring out its full sweetness and clarity. ✨
Brew Ratio: 1:15 (30g coffee x 450ml water)
Grind: Medium / Coarse
Water Temperature: 95 degrees
Brew Time: 4-5 minutes

Equipment
• French press – two cup recipe
• 30g Costa Rica Single O coffee ground for French press
• Kettle

Method
1. Bring kettle to boil while preparing French press. Allow to cool to 95 degrees before brewing
2. Add 30g of pre ground coffee to French press
3. Pour hot water into plunger, ensuring all coffee grounds are covered
4. Let it steep for around 3 minutes then use a spoon to break the crust on the top of the coffee
5. Place lid on to finish remaining brew time, without plunging
6. Once brew time is complete, slowly plunge and stop just above coffee grounds
7. Serve & enjoy

Grown on the volcanic slopes of Costa Rica’s Central and West Valley, this lot comes from the historic farms of Hacienda Colima, Volcan Azul, and Hacienda La Unión. Crafted by the Khale Castro family, who have been producing specialty coffee for over 200 years, this is a cup shaped by heritage, precision, and place. With over 1,500 hectares of rainforest preserved across their farms and the Osa Peninsula, this coffee reflects a deep commitment to both quality and conservation.
