Well… what a week!

After the little bit of excitement on Facebook for the last fortnight we honestly didn’t know quite what to expect. What we definitely didn’t expect was the absolutely incredible amount of support that followed.

Every comment, every like, every share, every private message, every kind word and every person who stood up for our little family business, THANK YOU.

And then you went one step further and actually came and found us!

Three markets in three days Friday, Saturday and Sunday and we have been completely overwhelmed by the support. So many familiar faces, so many new ones, and so many people who made a point of coming over to tell us they’d seen what happened and wanted to support us.

We also had the pleasure of meeting some awesome small business owners in our community and vendors we hadn’t previously met. It was so lovely to connect with you all and share the markets together.

A huge thank you to the market organisers for having us, and to all our customers new and returning for your continued support.

We may have finished the weekend exhausted, slightly delirious and wondering why on earth we thought three markets in three days was a sensible life choice… but our hearts are very full.

For a little family business from Sheffield, it has meant more to us than you probably realise.

And apparently we don’t know how to sit still, because instead of having a day off, we’re already back in the dumpling kitchen.

There’s flour on the bench, filling being tested and another BRAND NEW dumpling flavour being created for next weekend’s events.

Because clearly what we need after making hundreds and hundreds of dumplings all weekend… is to make more dumplings.

Thank you for turning what could have been a pretty ordinary week into one we’ll remember for a very long time.

From our family to yours, thank you for supporting us, supporting small business and, most importantly, eating an impressive amount of dumplings.

Now… back to the kitchen. We’ve got a new flavour to create.

We’re really disappointed to say we’ll have to cancel our first Wynyard Foreshore Market tomorrow.

We’ve come down with the flu and, although we were hoping we could shake it off and be right by tomorrow, we’ve progressively gotten worse throughout today.

So, better safe than sorry — the last thing we want to do is share our nasty germs around along with the dumplings!

Sorry to anyone who was planning to come and see us. We were really looking forward to our first Wynyard market, but hopefully we’ll be fighting fit and back for the next one.
