Ever start a project and think you'll bang it out in a weekend?
Then a few weeks later you're still working on it and wondering where your confidence came from in the first place.
It's a bit like that project Dad quietly moved into the shed. The one he was really excited about at the start, but now gets strangely quiet whenever Mum asks how it's going.
That was supposed to be us updating the Winter menu.
Then somewhere along the way we decided it would also be a great time to rebuild our online ordering system.
Then customers start asking about it every second day and you smile politely while internally realising you've bitten off slightly more than you can chew.
So anyway, the new Winter menu finally arrives tomorrow.
We've leaned pretty heavily into smash burgers and fried chicken and, if I'm being honest, I've eaten so much of both during testing that I'm starting to have some concerns. But that's usually a good sign.
Adelaide winters have always felt like a mix of hibernation, comfort food and accidentally gaining a few kilos, so we figured we'd lean into it.
Tomorrow also sees the launch of our new online ordering system.
Now before anyone gets carried away, we're not tech bros. We're burger people who somehow found ourselves building software. But we've worked hard on it, we're proud of it and we think it's going to make ordering a whole lot easier.
If you've got loyalty points, don't stress. They should have all migrated across safely.
*Should.*
Nah, we're pretty sure they did.
Assuming everything works.
Which we're reasonably confident it... probably will.
The other thing we're excited about is the specials.
Throughout Winter we'll be running a bunch of deals to make the cold weather suck a little less.
We'll share more about those as we kick things off, but keep an eye on our socials and the new menu because we've got some pretty cool stuff lined up.
