Sometimes small businesses have to make tough decisions just to keep going. Its necer something we want to do, we need to put our prices up to keep the doors open!

Just would like to respond to a few comments regarding our prices that we charge.
Firstly we aren't a Hungry Jacks ,Wendy's or anything like those takeaways.
We have owned Barossa 50s Diner now for 8 years ,we have 13 fantastic employees starting from the age of 15 up to 53 ,they all work so hard.
Like most businesses we have rent , electricity ,gas, insurance, plus we also have our house and cars that we have to run from our business as the diner is our only income for Nick and I.
When we first brought the diner we also had 4 children living with us as well.
We also have our 3 food suppliers, 2 beverages suppliers and our fruit and vegetables supplier that we pay weekly.
We have a Bas bill every 3 months, superannuation that we pay weekly with wages ,we have our accountant that we also pay.
We also like to help out local charities when we can.
We are able to pay our staff their wages and all our suppliers for there deliveries weekly as there alot of small businesses that cant and we are very grateful we can .
We honestly try our best to keep our prices down and we keep onto our suppliers for the best price that they can give us so we can keep our prices down but yes over the past 2 years so much has increased in price and there's nothing i can do about it unless i want to sell or shut my doors on my business and we aren't ready to do that.
We are lucky to still have our doors open and our fantastic staff and our wonderful customers that keep coming back time after time, its because we do work hard and long hours , this is not just a job to us its our little diner that we have worked so bloody hard for over the pass 8 years to get it where it is today.
Ive also so lucky to have met some lovely people and made some great friendships over the years, had 3 proposals in the diner, lots of birthday celebrations, hen show ,baby showers and even a awake .
