Friday specials incoming!

Rob’s Bolognese sauce makes the cut, served with his favourite pasta, Casarecce, and finished with a generous amount of freshly grated Grana Padano. The spicy Buffalo Pizza is back, teamed with a crunchy apple slaw for that perfect hot‑and‑cold bite.
Plus, a winter green veggie bowl, inspired by my sugar‑free mood — cooked crunchy the way I love and dressed in our house‑made basil pesto. I haven’t got a picture of this, but Wilsons Fruit & Vegetables will be delivering my fresh produce tomorrow… so if timing behaves, I’ll sneak in a trial bowl to show you once our private lunch booking has left tomorrow.

My knees are telling me winter’s nearly over. The sun’s peeking back out, and I’m craving those fresh, crisp, salad‑style flavours again.

Meet the Pizza Sammich: built on my brand‑new dough made with Australian organic wheat flour. It’s a fire‑kissed fold of warm, fluffy bread packed with bright, fresh fillings. Hearty enough for the last of the cold mornings, but fresh enough to scratch that salad‑sandwich itch we’ve all been quietly nursing.

The Pizza Sammich lineup officially launches on Friday so come grab one and celebrate the slow slide into spring.

😊 Hi to all. Sometimes stepping away is exactly what you need to remember what really matters. I spent the past week with some of my favourite golden oldies 💕 with early morning coffees, shared meals, familiar stories, and those quiet little moments.

There’s something grounding about it. The way time seems to stretch. The way conversations wander. The way a simple meal made from whatever’s in the fridge becomes a whole experience because of who you’re sharing it with.

It reminded me of something we see every day at Mount Buninyong Winery: mealtimes aren’t just about the food-they’re about the people.
The connection.
The togetherness.
The “remember when…?” moments that become part of your family’s story.

That’s the heart of what we do here. Yes, we care about good wine and delicious food, but the real magic is what happens around them. The long chats between friends who haven’t seen each other in ages. The families celebrating milestones. The locals who pop in for a casual night and end up staying longer because the company is too good to leave.

This week reminded me how precious those moments are. And it made me even more grateful for the ones we get to share with all of you, right here at our tables.

We like to make you feel like you belong, like you’re part of something, like you’re home. Here’s to slowing down, holding your people close, and savouring every moment-whether it’s around your family’s kitchen table or ours at Mount Buninyong Winery.
