Dear Customers,
We hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We wish you all the best during this festive season in 2020.
Hope you all have a better 2021 and thank you all for the support over this past year.
We will be closed from the 24th of December 2020 to the 2nd of January 2021. We look forward to seeing you all again in the new year.

I would like to thank Nick from B Brothers Honey for all he does for us at Castaway Koala Cafe and a special thanks to him and Ben Hannant for Dedicating their 25 push ups today to us and we thank him for choosing to support our business from near the beginning of the cafe opening in March 30th 2019.

Good morning, I just want to give you an update on what we will be doing from Saturday with stage 1 coming into effect.

We will put 3-4 tables outside with 10 chairs for customers convenience - everything else will remain the same as it is at the moment.

We still have to comply with the one person per 4 square metres rule so that means only 4 customers will be allowed inside at any one time (same as it currently is). The seats outside, without the table present, will remain a waiting area for takeaway. It's not for food consumption.

All of our products will continue to be served in takeaway containers until the next stage.

We will keep a close eye on the seating area & we ask you to self-police as we would prefer not to have to ask people to move on.

If we find we are having constant issues with overcrowding in the seating area, we will have no option but to cease the seating until stage 2 or 3 comes into effect.

Please remember this is a slight easing of restrictions and by no means everything back to normal, that appears to be a few months away.

Stay safe, stay healthy, please co-operate & be considerate to your fellow patrons.

Again a big thank you to all of the locals & regulars who have rallied with us to help keep the doors open.

Today on the very special day of Mothers Day my family and I visited Castaway Koala Cafe all excited for the day ahead. On the way out my owner left me on the front bench. Please help me find my owner as I miss them very much.

If you cannot find me at the cafe please come and ask Petra or Glenn Cruickshank for me as I maybe hiding in the lost and found.

Feeling tired and down from being home bound for so long why not come support a local business with hot coffee, delicious home made cakes, steaming hot chocolate, burgers, fish and chips, calamari and chips, seafood baskets and scrumptious scones plus more.

We are now open for business again after a short period of closure for business planning. We will soon be launching a new online system for you to order and pay online (to be announced when ready).

We will also be looking into curb side pickup and maybe even delivery options. We are excited to be implementing these options for all of our customers in the near future.

We thank you all for your on going support through these unpredictable times and that together we will make it through.

Dear Friends and Loyal Supporters ,

We are sorry for the late post online. We are just letting you know that as of the 10th of April we will be closed for 7 days and will be opening on the 16th April 2020. We wish you all a happy Easter and hope to see you all then.

We will be operating 9am to 4pm due to covid 19 and this will be till further notice.

Covid 19 Update - Castaway Koala Cafe will be changing to takeaway service only as of midday tomorrow due to changes implemented by the Government.

Feeling home-bound with cabin fever?

Why not drop us a line on 0435 313 790 and order your favourite coffee, cold drink or takeaway meal from the Castaway Koala Café?

We will deliver your purchase to the car at 13 Thurecht Parade, Scarborough.

It is our aim to continue to serve you all your coffee needs until future notice.

In the hope of expanding our services, we are exploring further options for online ordering and delivery
