Another year and another great day with our amazing team who took part in the SSMRF - St George & Sutherland Medical Research Foundation 2026 Beachside Dash, joining the biggest year yet with 1,800 participants. Whether it was to set a PB or just enjoy a stroll on such a beautiful morning along our stunning coastline, the common goal was to support vital medical research for our local Hospitals.

Together, our awesome community raised over $100,000 to help fund life-changing breakthroughs and better health outcomes. We also hope everyone enjoyed our Revive Station that provided needed hydration after a warm morning run 💙

We feel so blessed to hear of our very own Sallianne Faulkner, President of Ramsgate RSL and the broader Societie Group, securing a prominent spot as 20 of the most influential figures shaping the future of Sydney’s St George and Sutherland Shire.

Sallianne's extensive portfolio of top-tier leadership roles across major sporting, community, and commercial organisations include:

⭐Chair and President of Netball NSW - from humble days of playing Junior Netball to heading up one of the state's largest sporting bodies.
⭐President of the Ramsgate RSL Memorial Club and sits on the board of ClubsNSW. Her focus on strong corporate governance and community facilities has made her an influential figure in the region's hospitality and social landscape.
⭐General Manager of the Bayside Women's Shelter, a local charity that provides crisis accommodation and support services to women and families fleeing domestic violence and homelessness.

On behalf of everyone at Ramsgate RSL and Societie Group, we are incredibly proud to see Sallianne’s profound commitment and selfless dedication to our club and the wider community justly celebrated with this well-deserved accolade.

Societie Group is proud of its Reconciliation journey and this NAIDOC Week, Ramsgate RSL, together with Club Engadine RSL, proudly united with local sporting partners for our annual Indigenous Sporting Round.

Across the field, court and community, players, volunteers, families and supporters came together to honour the rich history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

More than just a sporting round, this initiative is a celebration of respect, reconciliation and inclusion, recognising the important role sport plays in bringing communities together and creating lasting connections.

For the fourth-year running, our incredible team proudly volunteered with St Michael's Community Services weekly outreach program, helping provide meals and essential items to people experiencing homelessness.

Together, we helped feed 140 people, with Societie Group also donating gloves, beanies, socks and scarves to help keep people warm this winter.

It's moments like these that remind us what is all about. We're incredibly proud of our team for making a genuine difference in our community.
