Happy Father’s Day to our very own gelato maker, front-of-house man, back-of-house man, fix-it man, cleaner, creator and pretty much everything-in-between man. 🍦

If you’ve been into Gelatina, chances are you’ve seen Greg. He’s there day in, day out, working his butt off to keep our little shop going. Whether he’s making gelato, serving customers, cleaning up, fixing something or tackling the never-ending list of jobs that comes with running a small business, he puts absolutely everything into it.

Gelatina simply wouldn’t be what it is without him, and neither would our family.
This Father’s Day is an extra special one, with Greg celebrating not only as Dad, but for the first time as Grumpa to our beautiful Harry, which I think is his favourite role yet.

A very special Happy Father’s Day also goes to our son James, celebrating his first Father’s Day as dad to Harry, who is without question our most precious little Gelatina customer. ❤️

Happy Father’s Day to Greg, James and all the dads, grandads, Grumpas and father figures out there today. We hope you’re being spoilt, appreciated and, of course, treated to some gelato.

Like so many renos this one has thrown a few curveballs our way so won't be open until tomorrow.

We will have a few tweaks to come over the coming weeks but the old girl is looking clean and fresh.

Closed today and re open from 1pm Friday 4 September.

One of our favourite things about running a little country gelato shop — apart from the gelato, obviously! 🍦💕 — is the people.

Customer service has always been incredibly important to us, but for us it’s about more than simply serving you a scoop. We genuinely love having a chat, hearing about your day, catching up with familiar faces, meeting people passing through town and, of course, chatting about our latest flavour creations (and hearing what you think we should make next!).

There’s something pretty special about a country shop — that sense of community where people have time for a conversation, customers become familiar faces and you get to know the people who walk through your door.

And then there’s the gelato. Creating new flavours, seeing which ones you love, hearing your suggestions and sharing something we’ve made right here in our little shop is a huge part of why we love what we do. 🍦

We feel incredibly lucky to have both — a little shop where we get to make something we love every day and a wonderful community of people to share it with.

Thanks for stopping in, having a chat, trying our creations and being part of our Gelatina community. 💕

A little shop refresh is happening! 🎨✨

Our awesome tradespeople have had some availability come up earlier than expected, so we’re making the most of it and giving Gelatina a little refresh — some fresh paint, new tiles, floorboards getting some love and a little signage update. 💕🔨

That means we’ll be closed for our usual trading days next week — Thursday 27 to Sunday 30 August.

We’ll be back scooping from Thursday 3 September with a freshened-up little shop ready to welcome you back. 🍦

But first… grab your tub tomorrow!
Pop in Sunday 23 August and stock up with a 500mL or 1L takeaway tub to see you through until we’re back. 😋

Thanks for your support while we give the shop a little TLC. We can’t wait for you to see it! 💕

Some weekends it’s Brownie. Some weekends it’s Sticky Date. This weekend… we thought we'd give you a choice 😏🍨

So we’ve made BOTH!

Go for the warm Chocolate Brownie, the Sticky Date Pudding with butterscotch sauce… or avoid the decision altogether and have one of each. We won’t judge. 😉

Of course, both are served warm with your choice of gelato from the cabinet.

Available this weekend until sold out — and once they’re gone, they’re gone! 💕

🍦💛 A VERY special reason to close our doors today… 💛👶🏻

While we’ve been busy cooking up a storm with our gelato flavours, our beautiful daughter-in-law has been busy cooking up something far more important… and our first grandbaby decided he was ready to make his grand entrance a little earlier than expected! 🥹💛

So today, we’re taking a little break from scooping gelato to soak up all the perfect newborn goodness of our beautiful new grandson. 👶🏻✨

We couldn’t be prouder of our son and daughter-in-law, and we are absolutely over the moon to welcome this precious little boy into our family. 💛

So, Gelatina is closed today while we cuddle, kiss and completely spoil our first grandbaby. 😍

We’ll be back scooping your favourite flavours tomorrow, Friday — but for now, there are much more important cuddles to be had. 🥰🍦

Thank you for understanding, and wish us luck… we have a feeling this little guy is going to be very, very spoilt! 💛
