IMPORTANT TEMPORARY CLOSURE NOTICE! 🫟

28/09/2026

19/09/2026

Yesterday, my family sadly lost our much-loved Uncle Richie after his battle with cancer 💔

I do apologise for the early closure and a massive thank-you to our wonderful team members who stepped up and in to allow me to have time to process and grieve.

He would often stop into the shop on his way to treatment and loved his Battered Savs. In his memory, we’ve decided to make a small but very special change here at The Sea Shanty.

From now on, our Battered Savs will proudly be known as:

UNCLE RICHIE’S BATTERED SAV ❤️

We have already made these changes on DoorDash and will change them on the menu board over the following few weeks. Same freshly cooked Savs just with a very special name change.

It may only be a name on our menu, but to me, it means so much more. It’s my little way of keeping Uncle Richie’s memory alive and making sure his name continues to be spoken, shared and remembered.

Every time someone orders an Uncle Richie’s Battered Sav, we’ll think of him and the memories our family was lucky enough to share with him.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Never forgotten. ❤️

Rest peacefully, Uncle Richie. 🕊️

With love always ❤️

They shall grow not old,
As we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them
Nor the years condemn
At the going down of the sun
And in the morning
We will remember them.

Lest We Forget 🌺
