On behalf of the Board, it is with regret that we announce that, despite our best efforts, the Seawinds Community Cafe (within Seawinds Community Hub) will be closing from COB Friday, 12th April.

After several months of working hard to expand our offerings, generate more revenue, and increase our presence and profile within the community, the Cafe has continued to incur a significant financial loss each month, which, in light of the broader funding challenges we are currently experiencing, can no longer be sustained by the organisation.

Through the commitment of our volunteers, we will continue to support the Southern Peninsula Community Support's SPLaSH program on Mondays and Thursdays, together with the weekly Wednesday Breakfast Program (during school term time).

We will also continue to welcome catering requests, including honouring all currently committed catering orders, to help generate additional funds for the Hub.

The hope is that we will eventually have the means to re-open the Cafe so we can offer our Hub program participants, Early Learning Centre families, and members of the broader community the warm and welcoming space to connect, come together and enjoy time together, sharing a coffee or meal.

Say hello to our petite sausage rolls option 😊

We have 2 options of sausage roll sizes:
1) Our standard size for those of us who are hungry and want a decent feed; and
2) Our petite size for those who want something smaller to nibble on (OR it could also be for those of us who like to think we're eating a smaller portion but just want more than a few... 😅)

Have you been to our Seawinds Community Cafe?

Six months ago, we were fortunate to have Community Bank Southern Peninsula and Rosebud & Districts Mens Shed INC generously donate funding and time, respectively, to help us make updates to our Cafe.

Here is the end result - a spruced up, fresh, and welcoming space for you to dine in 🥰

Opening Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-4pm.

Can't believe this was less than 6 months ago, how time flies.. !! 🫨

Thank you to the Rosebud & Districts Mens Shed INC and Community Bank Southern Peninsula for their generosity in time and funding for getting our Cafe spruced up.

These improvements have been a massive help to us in making this space more uplifting, cosy, and inviting for our community members 🥰
