WE WENT. WE SMASHED IT. WE’RE BACK! ☕️🚐💗

Coffee’s Hot took on Kalgoorlie, smashed the job, survived a Nullarbor-sized drive home… and apparently my immune system decided THAT was its cue to clock off. 🤧😂

So I’m taking a couple of days to unpack, recover and remind myself what day it actually is.

But Wednesday… WE’RE BACK! ☕️🔥
Coffee machine firing, van rolling and Pip back on quality-control duties after his exhausting career as professional road-trip passenger. 🐶😂

⛏️ Today’s Kalgoorlie adventure… the Gold Museum! 💛

I went in expecting to learn about gold… and came out discovering I apparently know bu**er all about WA history! 🤣

Today I learnt WA actually voted to leave Australia in 1933.

How did I get this far through life without knowing WA once basically said, “Righto Australia… we’re off!” 🤣

Then there were the toilets… 🚽😳
Forget finding gold, surviving a trip to the dunny looked like the real achievement! 😂

And the dentist chair… 🦷😬
I’ve decided people back then weren’t tougher than us… they simply had no bloody choice! 🤣

We were also told one of the buildings was once the narrowest pub in the Southern Hemisphere. 🍺 Apparently there was room for a beer… just not much room to swing your elbows! 😂

Poor Pip wasn’t allowed into the museum, so he promoted himself to Head of Gold Museum Security from the van. 🐶🫡

No gold was stolen on Pip’s watch…
although somehow I still left without a gold nugget in my pocket! 🤷🏼‍♀️🤣

Yesterday was the Super Pit. Today was the history behind it.

WE DID IT!! 🥳🚐💗

From Rockingham ➡️ Roleystone ➡️ Beverley ➡️ York ➡️ Merredin ➡️ Southern Cross ➡️ Coolgardie… and finally KALGOORLIE! 🏜️✨

Me, Pip and the Coffee Van have officially made it! 🐶☕🚐

A few nerves, a lot of kilometres, plenty of little adventures along the way… and one very happy woman pulling into Kalgoorlie knowing I actually bloody did it! 💪😂💗

Now it’s time to settle in, explore a little, then get ready to do what brought us all this way…

The sea is cool, the breeze is crisp, and the Coffee is still Hot. 🤓☕️🌊

This is our last weekend on the beach for the season. Come wander the foreshore, watch the waves roll in, share a smile, and enjoy a coffee while winter gently settles over Rockingham.
