Some wines never see a bottle shop shelf.

The Witches Falls list comes from Tamborine Mountain, wild fermented, no shortcuts taken to make it easier to sell. The Ballandean Estate wines come from Granite Belt vines that have been earning their character since 1932.

Neither one is on the list because it's convenient. Both are here because they're worth the extra step.

Wednesday belongs to the pour list again.

Whiskey Night Wednesday opens the doors at 5pm, in a room built for slow drinking and long pours. Every bottle on the list earns its place the same way the wine list does, chosen for character rather than what's easy to stock.

Almost three months in...

Tanya and Chris opened the doors to Sin, Sweat and Sorrow with a heritage building, a vision for what Rockhampton was missing, and a lot still to learn about running it. Three months on, watch them talk through their vision from the start.

Some things you build once. Some things you keep building every night.

An evening does not have to end when the main event does.

Kitchen stays open until 9:30pm, and even after, a charcuterie board is still on the table. Cheese, cured meats, something poured alongside.

For those coming from a show, a dinner, a night already underway elsewhere, this is where it continues. No rush, no last orders feeling. Just a place still ready for you.

The weekend finds its rhythm here.

Friday and Saturday nights are always a vibe and Sunday sessions from 2pm have candlelight low, glasses full, the room settling into the afternoon and night the way it does every week. This is where the weekend starts to feel like itself.

Reserve your table and let the night take it from there.

This one didn't make the menu by accident.

Crisp wonton, cool avocado, a hit of spice, tuna barely touched by the pan.

Every element earned its place the same way everything here does: tested, adjusted, tested again, until it was right.

Small plate. Worth ordering twice.

Tuna Wontons on the menu now until Spring.

Some Sundays are made for staying put.

Live music low in the room, a glass topped up before you think to ask, and no reason to look at the time.

Sunday Sessions run every week from 2pm. Live music from mid-afternoon.

Bring the people worth spending it with.

Wine is the reason most people come. This is the reason a few of them stay longer.

Boxer is made by Jon Heslop, the man behind Witches Falls Winery. The same patience, the same refusal to send anything out before it's ready, turned toward beer instead.

Six in the range. A nitro-driven Irish stout. A Japanese-style lager, dry and clean. A Cali IPA with a bit more weight behind it.

Exclusive to Sin, Sweat and Sorrow.

Ask what's open when you sit down.
