Cousins on William was very proud to host and support the first Rockhampton Neighbourhood Association and Adasiyyih Development Group Community morning tea on Friday 18th September - it was just a beautiful morning.
Whilst I was up and down like a yo-yo at times joining the group and working at the same time - I did manage to sit and engage in solid conversation and meet some lovely people.
There is something really special about simply sitting, chatting and getting to know new people. No agenda, no pressure — just genuine conversation, laughter and connection.
Sometimes it’s the simplest moments that do something to your soul. ❤️
I left feeling lighter, very grateful and reminded of just how important community and human connection really are.
During the day I meet lots of people in my Cafe - but I do go home to an empty house, a office, three pugs (Min, Monty, Mervin) and a cat (Moe) that generally sit at my feet in the office - with Brian working away all week, like many people it gets lonely from time to time - this group it just a welcoming connection ❤️
I encourage anyone who would love to come along to the next morning tea - to simply take time out and engage in simple conversation and meet new people.
Cousins will announce the next monthly morning Tea Date & Time as soon as Rockhampton Neighbourhood Association & Adasiyyih Development Group schedule.
