Today, Southside Aquatic Centre is turning BLUE as we come together to raise awareness about drowning prevention and celebrate the people helping keep our community safe around water.

🏊 Our next generation of lifeguards
Check out our trainee lifeguards and their trainer in action as they complete their new Lifeguard Course and develop the skills needed to respond when it matters most.

💙 Our Splash team has gone blue
Our staff have certainly understood the assignment! Keep an eye out for plenty of blue outfits, ribbons, tutus and maybe even a blue wig or two around the centre today.

🎨 Colouring-in competition
You don’t need to swim with us to enter! Pick up a colouring-in sheet from reception and return your masterpiece by Monday, 3 August 2026 to go into the draw to win: 10 FREE Learn to Swim lessons valued at $190!

To celebrate World Drowning Prevention Day, we’re pouring our limited-edition Blue Coconut Latte for one week only, starting this Saturday from 7AM.

Today the team spent time with Grinders Coffee sharpening our skills and learning even more about what goes into making a consistently great cup. From perfect espresso extraction to milk texturing and workflow, we’re always looking for ways to improve.

We believe there’s always something new to learn, and ongoing training helps us serve the best coffee possible to every customer.
