There is a very special mission behind Blank Cheque Trading Co. in Rockhampton.

Through the Blank Cheque Movement, the team has created a place where veterans, first responders and their families can connect, find meaningful support and feel part of a community.

The team also run a popular café from the site in East Street, offering a range of breakfast and lunch options and excellent coffee.

Thank you to owners and veterans Bradey and Charlene, and Nicole, for having me for lunch last week and sharing your big plans for the future.

I look forward to seeing the Blank Cheque Movement grow and continue to make a difference in our region!

🌺 POPPY SERVICES 🌺
🌺 HONOURING OUR VETERANS 🌺

A Poppy Service is a moving and dignified way to farewell a veteran and recognise their service to our country.

The Yeppoon RSL Sub Branch is honoured to provide Poppy Services as part of a veteran’s funeral. These services are conducted by our Sub Branch volunteers and are provided free of charge.

We would also like to make our community aware of something very important.

When a veteran passes away, the Yeppoon RSL Sub Branch is not always notified of their passing. If we are not made aware, unfortunately we may not have the opportunity to offer or conduct a Poppy Service.

We therefore kindly ask families, friends, funeral directors and members of our community to please let us know when a veteran passes and a Poppy Service is requested.

A veteran does not need to have been an RSL member to be honoured with a Poppy Service. Any person who served in the Australian Defence Force may be eligible.

If you would like to request a Poppy Service, please contact us as soon as possible at:

Where possible, please include the veteran’s full name, date of birth, next of kin, country served, regimental number, service branch and the date and location of the funeral service.

It is our honour and privilege to pay our final respects to those who served our country.
