In fact we have thought long and hard about it. Because we lo

ve food; we love nurturing the ground it comes from, growing it, preparing it, cooking it and sharing it. While many people have moved away from a connection to the source of their food, we have moved closer to it. At Moonacres we’ve carved out a haven of organic farming, where you can place your bare hands into cover crops 10 seasons deep; where you can taste again; where you can be nourished again. We believe taste is a gift, and one that must be shared. That’s why we created a community where our knowledge of what food is supposed to taste like is shared, where lovers of food can explore exciting flavours and new cooking techniques and be emerged in one of life’s greatest pleasures. Join us this Saturday at 6:30 pm for a yummy new set menu at Moonacres Kitchen.

Head Chef Stephen Santucci has recently returned from a 5-week food tour in Italy, and you can taste the inspiration in every bite of our new menu!

Here’s a sneak peek:

Starters:

- Buffalo mozzarella and anchovies
- Polenta fritta
- Grilled mortadella, rosemary garlic bread

Pasta:

- Handmade ravioli filled with broccoli, blue cheese, and topped with fresh radicchio from our farm

Dessert:

- Chocolate and chinotto tart

Optional Extras:

- Lamb leg umido
- Farm salad
- Cheese plate trio from local farm

Join local artist Kate Vella and organic farm owner Phil Lavers for an afternoon of Art, Food, and Conversation this Saturday!

Kate will demonstrate painting a still life using the fresh harvest from our farm featuring apples and other seasonal produce. Guests will also paint alongside Kate and Phil, with the two completed canvases being auctioned later in the year to raise funds for OzHarvest.
