When a best-selling health author raves about your food and water, you know you’re doing something right!
A huge thank you to Don Chisholm for stopping by the cafe recently and gifting us a signed copy of his book. With over 30,000 copies sold, Don knows a thing or two about what we put into our bodies!
He gave a massive shout-out to our food and the exceptional quality of our water. We take immense pride in using and serving Reverse Osmosis filtered water at our cafe. It’s a hidden detail, but to us, premium quality is non-negotiable.

💖 Mother’s Day Update at Merak GF! 💖

We are feeling the love and are now pretty much fully booked for Mother’s Day this Sunday. 🌸

If you are looking for a last-minute spot to treat Mum, we have a few small tables (up to 1-4 people) still available. We also have one larger table for up to 6 people available for the early birds at 7:00 AM! ☕️🥐 Get in quick :)

A little note for our wonderful community:

It’s going to be a very big, beautiful, and busy day! Our baristas and kitchen team will be working incredibly hard to ensure every Merak meal and coffee is made to perfection.

To help us look after our seated guests:

Takeaway Food: Expect longer wait times than usual. At peak periods, takeaway may be temporarily unavailable so our kitchen can focus on our bookings.

Coffee & Cake: Still available for those wanting a quick treat! 🍰☕️

💖A quick favor to all our guests: We have so many families wanting to join us, and we want to make sure everyone gets a seat! Please be mindful that booking times will be strictly applied on Sunday. Your consideration helps us ensure that every family gets their turn for a great feed!

Be gentle on our team, especially the young ones!! This is a very busy, overwhelming day for all of our staff. Please remember they are catering to a broad range of people/personalities & want only to ensure that each person has a fantastic day with us. No staff member wants to make a mistake but sometimes, they just happen.

Mother’s Day at Merak GF 🌸

Treat Mum to a beautiful breakfast or lunch at Merak GF — a local spot where everyone can enjoy the same table, the same menu, and delicious food made with care.

Whether Mum loves a big breakfast, something sweet, a great coffee/beverage, or simply wants a relaxed meal with family, we will take care of the cooking and the cleaning.

Our menu is completely gf, with thoughtful preparation for all of our guests who need to dine safely — but most people simply know us for generous tasty meals, house-made baking, and food that tastes like food should.

Mother’s Day details:
✨ Open: 6:30am – 2:30pm
✨ Kitchen opens at 7am & closes at 2pm
✨ All-day breakfast from 7:00am
✨ Lunch menu from 10:00am
✨ Last booking: 1:30pm

Bookings are strongly recommended, as Mother’s Day is one of our busiest days of the year. Walk-ins are always welcome where possible, but we can not guarantee a table without a booking.
