We’re looking for a qualified Baker or Pastry Cook and or an Apprentice at The Redhead Bakehouse. If you’re wanting secure, long term employment with great people in a trusted work place, we might be the place for you. Our goal is to maintain a healthy work/life balance. We hope to achieve this with ample reliable staff, manageable opening hours and adequate holidays.
We’re closed Sundays, Public Holidays and an extended break over Easter and Christmas.

The time is running out to donate if you haven't already. This Tuesday is the last day that we can accept donations

Who hates feeling cold, hungry or dirty? What about all 3?
TRB are teaming up with Reach Homeless Service and Joblink Plus this July, to help the homeless folk in the Newcastle area feel some relief this winter.
To help, we are seeking donations of items such as toiletries, warm clothing and blankets, socks, un**es, long life food and drinks to be placed in donation box in the Bakehouse.
(If you check the photos, you'll see the preschool quality cut and paste job of suggested items ✂️🫣)
With your help, we look forward to making a difference to some local folk who could use a break.

With our Annual price comes the removal of Eftpos surcharges. But we as a business still have to pay those charges to the banks and consequently need to pass them through our prices. So as an experiment, for the next 3 months, we’re offering a 3% discount on all cash transactions to see if trends change.

Unfortunately we’re at that time in the year again when we need to have our Annual Price Rise😢. We’ve done our absolute best to carry as much of the most recent increases as best we can, but now we need to pass them on. Because we do our increase annually, we need to calculate the Eftpos surcharges that from October we will not be able to pass on. Because of this, we will be disabling the surcharges from Monday 29th to coincide with the increase. Please note that the government has stopped business from passing on surcharge cost, but hasn’t stopped banks and providers from charging businesses each transaction. Keep your eye on our social for details on how you can save money by using cash instead of eftpos .
